My condolences to his family, but in a superhero universe he would have been found, and revived. Unfortunately, I know squat about winter sports. Anyone have a suggestion of what sklls and powers could be made from hockey, snowboarding, disappearing/reappearing equiptment, and 14 years in a glacier?

Greetings, I have been transferring stuff from d20 into Hero for our group, and came to an ability that I am having trouble with. The ability (an ability of a 'Devoted Defender" prestige class) allows: If the defender is five feet from the person being defended, the defender can switch places with the person (in essence, if someone were standing nose to nose with the defender's charge, then the defender could instantly switch places with the charge and have the opponent standing nose to nose with the defender, while the defender's charge is behind the defender). I hope I am explaining it well. Any ideas?? It would only work to switch places with the devo…

If this doesn't start a non-political heated debate, nothing will. HEHEHEHHEHEHE!!! I want to have a character with MASSIVE amounts of STR, and all that that implies: leaping, lifting, figured stats, etc. However, I don't want to do SICK amounts of damage. So what I'd like to do is make a character with a 60 STR purchased normally, then get another +30 or so with the limitation, cannot be used to do damage. The explanation would be that the character is SO strong that he lacks the kinesthetic sense to apply it fully when fighting. Thus, he can lift and leap at full capacity, as well as enjoys the full stat benefits, but can't punch or squeeze better than 12D6 (w…

Planing a subplot with Slug. He'll be summoning some demons to act as cannon fodder and diversions. Thought it might be interesting to make the demons Moorcockian archtypes, the Mother of all Reptiles, the Lord of Sharks, the Parent of All Starfish, etc. As the subplot continues, the archtypes will be less evolved, and closer to the Elder Worms. (How am I going to make the Lord of All Sponges threatening? Let it be a challenge to me.) If memory serves, there are some 15 phyla not represented by living animals. Can someone direct me to a web site that names and describes these extinct phyla? Those should yield some "unearthly" demons. Thanking everyone in …

http://www.champions-vs-sas.com/ Dr Destroyer and Kreuzritter will be forging an unholy alliance (Kind of like Marrying in leather?) and thus the stage for "Reality Storm" is set. http://pub84.ezboard.com/bsuperheroshowdown66104 if you want to talk with the SAS fans and post your thoughts. I know others will have their gripes, but I'd like to thank DoJ AND GoO for this fun oppurtunity. I rather enjoyed many of the stories.

Just saw LXG and can't wait to see you guys create CHAMPIONS versions of the characters My take on the team NEMO: Inventor / Martial Artist HYDE: Multi-form brick SAWYER: SKilled Normal QUARTERMAINE: Skilled normal DORIAN GREY: Martial Artist (sword) with a healing factor that would put Wolverine to shame MINA HARKER: Scientist / Vampire ???Forgot the Name???: Invisible / Skilled normal OT: I had Dorian Grey as a character in a Western Hero game (the other players were a Quai Gan Cane like martial artist, A trickshot artist and an inventor so the Grey character was not too out there)

This idea is stollen from the old GURPS boards, and has probably been done here before. The Challenge: What kind of Supers can be made for 50 base points + no more than 50 points in Disadvantages. No selling characteristics back for extra points, and every character should have at least one or two skills they could use to make a living. Use of Such Characters: These characters can be used as competent normal DNPCs, colorful agents and/or thugs, minor NPC villains and heroes, minions of tougher characters or as the basis for a very low powered campaign. Any takers?

This is a guy I built yesterday, this is a Playable Version (the NPC is much tougher - Villain level in my game). It's really just me looking for advice/critique/unwarrented-praise/offers-of-money/offers-of-unborn-children... well, you get the idea. One of the things I liked about this guy was the fact that his armor falls apart if he falls unconcious. He is a Cyberkenetic and his battle armor is just pieces of electronics/machinery that he draws to him. So... ooo and ahh (or jeer and rasberry) as you see fit. I've volunteered to design the base for our golden age team (I get an extra EP for it). I need some sort of ultra-cool method for keeping the bad guys out of the base, that still lets the good guys and visitors in. An additional caviat is that we have no team technologist, so the "device" must be magical in nature. I welcome all suggestions. Anything done in an Egyptian theme is especially welcome as our mystic is an Egyptian sorceress. The idea I have, which I'm feeling very lukewarm about is a force wall that doesn't stop anyone who truthfully recites an oath to uphold truth, justice, and the law (to keep out villains who think that their conquest of the world …

Hello everyone. I am a long time HERO GM and am finally getting to play instead of sit behind the screen. I have a character, but I can't come up with a name for him or his power. Here is the idea: This is a teenage character that, for want of a better word, secretes a dark gooey substance. I am thinking it is something like liquid graphite or liquid metal. The character in question has the ability to control the density of the substance and its viscosity. This allows him to form solid objects, do the Iceman slide thing, form armor, stretch, form entangles, and he can use it to cling to substances. He can also coat a floor with it making it almost impossibl…

I'm starting a new game in the standard Champions setting. In the first encounter, the two normal thugs received 4 or 5 body damage. To me, that seems enough that they needed hospitalization. So the question is, in Millennium City, is this too much force to use against thugs threatening innocents with machine guns? Would the cops start hunting the heroes as a result? And the closely related question, is this appropriate for a character with Code Against Killing (they weren't close to death after all)? Since new players are involved, I would talk to the players and explain how much force is too much before I start any in-game ramifications.

For an upcoming Champions game, I've poured over countless websites looking for Irish villains to use. Since I've come up with zippo, I'll throw my idea out for help. An Irish superheroine will return home to find that someone has taken the name of an Irish hero of some legend and dragged his/her name through the mud by being villainous... OR an Irish legend bad guy shows up. At any rate, either of the two (or even both) will do. A description of the person, legend and possible abilities would be greatly appreciated.

ATTENTION ALL HEROES! Recently I've dug up an issue of White Wolf Magazine taht happens to be a super hero issue[for superhero RPGs]. While reading it I came accross a villian team that can be used for a 5th ed Champions campaign. They are called STORMFRONT and they gained their powers from a crystalized computer call the Font. here's their History: In the days of the Late Mesizoic, there arose an intelligent race decended from the florishing reptile life: the K'Saaa. These creatures were gifted with latent physhic powers that, over the five million years of the Empire, developed into true sorcery. They delved into the fabric of nature, explored the heavens, shaped …

Only in Hero ID change question. An Energy Projector needs a jolt of energy to change to hero form. Nothing major, wall outlet, car battery, taser gun…ect. Would you just classify that as the disadvantage of the OIHID? Or is it significant enough to justify some sort of disadvantage in terms of points as well? I am thinking its just the price of the OIHID? But I want your input. Thanks much,

Ok. I've spent the morning doing the research and here is my idea and my problem... you get to help with the solution About 6 months ago, my group of Heroes were on a time travelling mission where they fought a team of Nazi Supervillains just prior to WWII. After the encounter, Overman, the leader of the Nazi team, had heard enough to realize that the people he fought were from the future and that it didn't look like the Nazi's won. He spent thhe war trying to ensure a Nazi victory, but realized that they WERE going to fail and started looking for a way to get out. He found a scientist who developed a sleep-chamber so that he could outlive those that remembered him …
