Hello I was wondering if you read the CBR site, and if you do how do you read it? Do you read their news or editorials/articles or do you mostly use the forums? If I did it right you should be able to vote for each thing you use it for. I read news there when they show up in google searches and I try to skim the forums a couple of times per year to see what people are talking about.

I noticed a commercial for a CW show called DC's Stargirl and recorded it. I record a lot of shows that tend to swirl the toilet these days. I watched it last night. I had to check the calendar to see if it was really 2020 and then see if I was awake and overcome suspicions I was in a coma or something. A CW Supers show that wasn't grim grim dark dark keeping time by bashing me in the forehead with its AGENDA!! 2x4. It has been a long time since I can remember reading a comic with Stargirl and I was pleasantly surprised. It's been over twenty years since they stopped making comics so I had to refresh myself on the character, but I think this TV…

Hope you can see it. For fun, pick 3 movies. Combine the titles to give a story or plot outline. So, for example, Working Girl, The Lost Boys, Caddyshack Broadcast News, Raging Bull, Die Hard

So, from what I've read about most of the standard IQ tests, they don't certify accuracy beyond about 4 standard deviations, i.e., around about 160 IQ. One did say his test wasn't valid or accurate beyond about a 175 IQ. So, my question is, where are all these IQ scores above 180 or so coming from? What test did these individuals take to "certify" their IQ is, say, 225? And are any of these scores achieved by these individuals as adults?

https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.05.07.082917v1 Summary: injection of blood plasma from young rats into old rats leads to substantial reversal of effects of aging. Obviously it's early and the results need to be reproduced, but I expect this may the first of many such breakthroughs along the path to real lifespan extension. It's hard to conceive of something that would transform society more than both extended longevity and extended youthfulness. Thought I'd add a hopeful bit of news amidst a seemingly relentless nadir of bad news this year.

Since I'm stuck at home due to COVID-19, I thought I'd work on one of my long-delayed projects: ripping my DVDs to make high-quality backups. I have a large library of older movies on DVD (some on Blu-Ray) that I'd like to make backups of in case of catastrophe, keeping all their menu information and being able to run them like I could off the original disc. So I'm asking for your opinions on the best software to do this and reasons why I should use it. What is the best DVD ripping software I could purchase to make the best backup copies of my movies and TV shows on DVD and Blu-Ray? What have you used?

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) Four men hijack a subway car in New York. The film is the perfect mix of tension and humor. Robert Shaw is the leader of the hijackers, and Walter Matthau is the Transit Police Lieutenant who through happenstance ends up negotiating with them.

Thanks to all for participating in my draft, and making it the success it was. Please even if you didn't participate, join in the poll! ... or whatever it's being called, this is a collaborative list of things people are doing while under orders to stay at home ... things they either wouldn't have done at all, or doing now because... you've got time on your hands. This evening, I baked chocolate chip banana nut bread. And the oven timer just went off.

As a boy, one of the bedside tales I was most smitten with was Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe. To this day, I remember finding the scenes where Robinson took stock of his provisions to be engaging for some reason; maybe it was due to the very hands-on, practical nature of his survival that he could quantify and control. In any case, later on down the line, I eventually got into pencil-and-paper roleplaying and found an outlet where I could satisfy my broader imagination. An enjoyment kin to that niche childhood fascination soon made itself apparent: inventory management. Some DMs/GMs may choose to gloss over this - finding it unbearably fiddly and/or counterproductive to …

I may not be on the list but my friends are. Perhaps you know them? Franklin, Grant, and Jackson! That's right, it's time for the Master List Superdraft! Day 1 everyone drafts 8 characters. Some heroes, some villains, all comic book super-persons. We want everyone's list in QUICKLY, so it doesn't matter if there are duplicates. Day 2-5: Stragglers enter their submissions. Day 6: NO NEW PLAYERS! I post the master list: Every character drafted, duplicates reduced to singles. I will replace duplicates with a pre-prepared list of popular list (there are three picks for superman? I go to the top two on my list that haven't been picked, and I a…

For fun I have been trying to find a song for a game I am setting up. It's a Top Secret module using Hero 3-6 (you can make your character in any of those editions). Anyway, I want a song that sounds like a James Bond song, but was never used as a James Bond song. *AND* it has to be from 1980-1981 because that it is setting of the campaign. The song, in my opinion, needs a strong, epic opening, a spectral/ethereal vibe, and...well whatever makes a song sound like the opening of a Bond flick with the silhouetted girls etc. The closest I got so far was:

It was one thing when when people were panic-buying and hording it by the metric ton, but now they're going around straight up stealing it. You heard me right, PEOPLE ARE STEALING TOILET PAPER. Rumor has it a state park in Michigan is having to lock all the bathrooms along their jogging trails because someone's been smashing the dispensers and absconding with every single roll. They're even taking the hand soap. Is the Beer Virus turning everyone into Cornholio? Because this makes no fragging sense.
