https://www.gnusbrands.com/blog/post/6065/stan-lees-superhero-kindergarten-scripted-for-success I'm not sure what to say that the title of the show doesn't. I wonder if there are any other Stan Lee projects in the works, or this will be his last work. (Is this a better or worse end than Orson Wells as Unicron?) Also, who knew that Schwarzenegger liked Kindergarten Cop and wanted to do more of that?

Wife and I set out about 10AM on Monday April 23rd, returned about 2.5 hours ago. Much good times, and many hours behind the wheel (roughly 4500 miles, all told) to reflect on them. Some reflections deposited here. 1. Let the record show that the very first text message I ever sent included the word "cretins", sent about 5:30 PM on April 25th, in reference to Denver traffic.

My wife and I had a recent encounter with a scammer (specifically, a phisher), and I thought maybe someone might benefit from knowing what happened with us. Also, others may want to post encounters they (or those they know) have had with scammers. Last week, my wife got a call from some guy claiming to be from Amazon, about a problem with the renewal of our Amazon Prime membership. This worried her, since the membership renewed already in June with the charge hitting our bank account fine. He claimed that there was another charge on her account for renewal of a different Amazon Prime membership, and sent her a link for a form to supposedly dispute that char…

There are a few obvious ones (Empire Strikes Back, Wrath of Khan) but what are some others? For example, one I see being debated right now: Aliens. Better than Alien? I say no, personally.

We all know and love Star Wars!* Star Wars: A new Hope is probably one of the most famous game changing movies of all time. Based on pulp era stuff, Japanese films, and more.. it spawned a huge universe that has swelled (And contracted when IP rights changed) and inspired hundreds of thousands of fans. Some of them bordering on the insane. This draft, we analyze "SW: A new Hope" and... pretty much get it all wrong. None of this well researched "Leader, Lancer blah blah" tropes stuff. We're going to half ass this sucker like no tomorrow, get the wrong tropes and have you guys role with the slapdashery of it all as seriously or carelessly as …

Just curious what you folks think. There are four or five titles I expect to see, but I'm sure there are some I've not considered. So, what is the best episode of the original series and why?

Oh gawds, it's the World Creation SuperDraft 4! You are a god. We are building a new fantasy mythology from scratch. Working with all of the other gods, you are going to create a new world. Sorry it might be paywalled for you. Interesting read; it also makes me worried about other youth sports programs, especially those that tend to be more insular. Figure skating comes to mind. But even the more open programs...how much of this goes on at youth football or basketball camps? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/03/sports/olympics/gymnastics-abuse-athlete-a.html?action=click&module=News&pgtype=Homepage

So we have social distancing, self-isolation, zero-contact delivery, virtual gaming, virtual conventioneering, and I know it's all necessary to beat COVID-19. That said, I can't help but feel we're verging on the scenario postulated in this "meditation." Zero-contact everything, and all people do is sit around, listen to music and lectures, and share "ideas." The story--"The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster--was written over a hundred years ago, and it wouldn't take all that much to update it for the modern era. I hope you like it, and heed the caution it offers.

Surprise! We're going to do a Superdraft in July, and I'm calling it... Pick A Color! Here's the gist: A location (second pick), five protagonists, one antagonist, and three options. All the usual rules apply: all picks are exclusive, all characters must be professionally published and fictional, different versions of the same character (frex, Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson as Captain America) are allowed. Here's the twist: Your first pick must be a color. And all five protagonists must have some connection to that color. (The antagonist, location, and option picks are not constrained in this fashion.) Acceptable colors would i…

Well, Friday lightning hit near the house. Blew out the phones, the central air. The TV in the den along with the comcast cable box and ps4 connected to it. We actually had a new phone we hadn't set up yet. And the central air just needed a new fuse. And as for the ps4, I dont play on it much, so I can wait awhile if ever. The cable box and TV have proven another experience. Apparently, technology has reached a level in the ensuing years beyond my capabilities. Programming it has proved difficult and the few successful moments came when I threw the instruction manual in the trash and looked it up on the internet. Well, just needed to rant. Off day …
