This is my first time playing champions and I've got a concept for my character but I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to go about building them. The concept for my character is based off the Guardian from the games Destiny 1 and 2 specifically trying to mix all the classes like you can in the lore. I am working with a 400 point build in 6th edition and the only thing I really know I can do so far is the Titans barricade. Any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps my inquiry is based on faulty assumptions but read me out. If Orchardsville is in any way based on real-world Orchard Lake (which is about the right direction and distance from Detroit) then, unless you count the chain stores along the main street, there’s bugger-all to do unless villains hide bases there rather than any other bedroom community. “But the action’s in Millennium City” you say. True, it’s a relatively short (~16 mi/~25.7 km, if the distances are about the same) drive, but can your turbo teen get to the scene of the crime fast enough? And what’s the range of your teen teleporter? To say nothing of weekdays and curfew. Or is it assumed…

I think there's a fair amount of interest in seeing old, out-of-print Champions adventures being re-released in 6th edition with some new art, updating to modern day, etc. These are from adventures that I own, there are others which people might want to see rebooted. I don't want to redo To Serve and Protect personally, I think that should be done by Scott Heine.

I have not played Champions in years(the mid 90's) and really only made one character, now my nearly 17 yo son wants to run a game. For this game I am trying to make a Colossus type Champions character that his alter ego activates on a 13- character roll as he is new to his powers, that I will eventually buy off with XP as we progress. My question is would I place all his powers under a Multipower frame work with fixed costs for each power? Not sure what to do as his powers are an all or nothing kind of thing so having each power have the roll does not really work. What I am looking at is the following powers that Require roll to activate: 13- (-1/4):, OIAID (-1/4): …

I am running a super hero game using Hero 5th Edition Revised and one of my players wanted to buy combat sense after earning some XP. On page 88 it breaks down the power in the main body of the explanation - 15 points to buy for 9+(INT/5) roll and +1 to the roll for 1 point. It also says you can spend +2 points to make it a sense and get rid of the 1/2 phase action to track opponent. Okay, that is all good and understandable. Then, at the bottom, in the smaller, bulleted breakdown it has the 15 points to buy for 9+(INT/5) roll and +1 for 1 point but does not have the +2 to make it a sense. It DOES however add "Detect target in HTH combat [5 ch…

Multi-attack lets you do this but the downsides of using it can mean that if you use more than one attack, your OCV goes down by 2 for every attack after the first. There's no way to negate that as far as I know besides having a huge OCV to counter the penalty. The reason I'm asking is because I'd like to make a character based off the TK powers Grifter has shown here, firing off multiple guns at the same time. So, is there a way to fire off multiple attacks at the same time without my OCV taking a massive dump?

How would you describe your last major story arc in your Champions campaigns? Rules: Minimum of 100 characters. That's about 20 5 letters words. So "police procedural" doesn't cut it as a description. More description helps. Maximum of about 300 characters. That's about 60 words. This isn't a hard limit but try to keep your description to only a paragraph or two. More description is good, but we aren't looking for a novel. Try to describe it in a way that a new GM might take inspiration from it. Example: Last year I completed two story arcs. One was fairly long. #1(2014-2020) The PCs are involved where the…

This worked really well last time, thanks everyone! So this time I'm trying to ID characters in an image I'm using in Champions Begins. I need to know who two of the characters are, they are easy to spot, because they aren't the ones I have colored. I got the rest (the guy in the middle is not in any book, I don't think so I just went with basic flame colors). One looks like a faux Vision and is super familiar to me but I cannot place him. The other I have no idea what it is, some orb thing?

I'm looking for Tim Drake, the Robin from The New Batman Adventures at or near the beginning of the series. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi, Everyone! I've been revising/converting my 4th and 5th Edition stuff to 6th Edition as an on-again/off-again project and have trying to come up with a simplified format for characters. I modified a previous template to make it resemble what's published from Hero Designer but can fit on one page. Below is an example of a Power Girl write-up for your feedback in terms of presentation. While quite a bit resource intensive when I commit to printing, I think the final product looks sharp and more importantly, easy to follow for players showing up to my game table to play Champions since it lays out everything in a clean format. Thanks for your help …

Outside of Poison Ivy, I can't even think of a good one that's already taken ... and I'm trying to come up with one. Anybody have any thoughts?

For those who don't have too much free time and aren't conversant in obscure and seldom-relevant lore (and you probably homebrew anyway : p), To Save The World is a soap opera in the Champions setting, even more so than the heyday of the X-Men: And besides a mention in Everyman (p.24, 108) and possibly Champions Battlegrounds (which I don't have...) there isn't anything else about it that I recall. So what? Let's flesh it out, just for fun, based on what we know or can extrapolate. Particularly if using the adventure seed where Menton gets too into the show... ; )

There are several pieces of art from the various Hero books that Hero has made available for use in their Hall of Champions program. However, I want to give the artists credit and cannot figure out who they are. I made a gallery of smaller versions, if people could help me find out who they are, that would be a big help.

In general, how powerful are your agents compared to the superheroes they fight? This is not to say all your agents are like this, just a majority (a reminder: majority is 51% or just over half). If your agent team is of mixed usage but are still DESIGNED to knock out a hero (like a 5 man team with 1 AoE Entangle or Flash, 1 Drain, 2 Blasters, and 1 Tank) then the answer is #2 even if they can do other things like #3-#5. Knocking out a hero means a fairly good probability of knocking out a hero (say at least 1/3 of the time) and not by random dice rolls. Most of my single agents with killing attacks could stun or knock out a hero by rolling max damage on killing attac…

Origin Stories The SUV rolled to a stop. Charley put it in park. Turning the engine off, she smiled to herself. It was hard for her to believe how far she had some in such a relative short time. She mentioned to Ash that she had an appointment to keep. Ash tossed her the keys. “The gray SUV. It's been adjusted for you.” Ash was right. The seat had been adjusted so that it sat halfway into the backseat to accommodate her required legroom. Getting in and out of it was easy for her. She dropped the keys into her purse. Getting out, she tapped the door locks. A biker rode by and let out a long whistle. She smiled and closed the door. Anothe…

Sometime soon our D&D game will be winding up and the GM will be running a 350pt Champions game. Most of us are well versed in this. He is running this for his wife (He has been running Champions since the 90s). The game is set in 60s or early 70s. I have created a character name and background. I like to make crazy characters and this one is no exception. Dark Mysterio is a character from a bad 40's detective novel where they made a single book or they just burned all but one. It was just that bad. An ailing hero or villain comes alone and finds this one book and touches it and draws out this main character. The powers are combined with the Detective of the book…

OK I'm hoping I can wrap up the Champions Begins project in a month or two, and I want to please ask something of everyone: Those of you who are artists, or who know artists, even if its goofy fun sketches, whatever, please if you have any old Superhero art that didn't sell or something you just did for fun, or something that you aren't going to use, consider donating it to the project. I need incidental illustrations and filler art, particularly for the Player Guide. I can't pay you anything and the project is going to be given away for free, so there's no money in it, but hey if its just sitting around anyway...

Named and shown for a few seconds in the 90s Tick cartoon but not explored in detail, I'm basically just running with the name here. The easy stuff is Life SUpport for breathing, probably food and drink too, maybe High Pressure to avoid damage from peristaltic action? Though that's not really the same thing as atmospheric/underwater pressure, so eh. Also, some amount of Regeneration to heal from damage that gets past his specific immunities. Being immune to acid and heat is mainly a matter of degree and how many points you're willing to spend on it, since Hero doesn't really deal in absolutes, by design. Still not too hard. Assume typical strong guy offensive tricks f…

So here are my questions. 1. Do you need to use a tactical map and minis/tokens? 2. Is there a cheat sheet for Champions for both referees and players? 3. Do you have any tips for running Champions?

In your games, do you use 1"=1m or 1"=2m? I've stuck to 1"=2m for Champions mainly because of knockback.

In RL, there is martial arts that deal with nearly every aspect that one can imagine. There's a form dealing with direct force, centered around defense, working with the person's agility, among many others. Add in all the fictional forms and someone could be lead to believe that martial arts have all the bases covered. In comics, we even see versions that are based upon the high speed of speedsters, strength of bricks, minds of mentalist, etc. One form that I have not heard of is built around someone who possesses the power of danger sense. The DS does not need to be the mystical thing that Spiderman has, only that the character has some aspect of this power that…

After watching the new Suicide Squad movie, I'm wondering how you could portray their implanted explosive charges in Hero terms. Are they just a GM fiat? If a hero team got implanted with these to force them to work for a group like VIPER, it would be better to have damage numbers handy, in case one or more members turned out to be resistant enough, so I am curious if anyone has ever made up something like this.
